EXHIBITION

The Legend of Two Hills

The Legend of Two Hills

An intergenerational exhibition by two Noongar artists who are traditionally connected to the Ballardong tribe located in the township of York within the Wheatbelt region of W.A. These artists include Dennis ‘Noongar Kickett and Michelle Wilura’ Kickett. The exhibition theme expresses the local dreaming story “Legend of the Two Hills in York” as told by George Kickett Snr (dec.).

Throughout the exhibition Dennis and Michelle will be present to collaborate and produce a centrepiece that will map out the dreaming story on a larger canvas panel. This will allow any potential clients/buyers to interact with the artists to discuss the piece and gain a better understanding of the dreaming from a traditional family viewpoint. It will also allow potential buyers to engage one-on-one with the artists if interested in purchasing any of their artworks.
