WORKSHOP

Dwert Dogs workshop with Sharyn Egan

Dwert Dogs

Sit, share your stories and reflect on the animals in your world with our Dwert Dogs workshop! Create your own fantastic creature in these weaving workshops with Noongar sculptural artist Sharyn Egan. Learn about the significance of animal totems, Noongar lore and the importance of looking after each totem as you make your own special critter. Your creature will be made using natural fibres and wool – using binding and wrapping techniques. All materials supplied.

Never afraid of experimentation and exploration, Sharyn Egan works in numerous media, including painting, sculpture, woven forms and site specific installations, often choosing materials, such as ochres, resins and grasses that connect to land, especially her home near the lake system in the southern suburbs of Perth.

Her woven works include traditionally styled contemporary forms and baskets, as well as larger scale sculptural forms.
